Pete Za Pi's Story
Legend has it that Peter Zacharia Pillianous (Pete Za Pi for short) was a very handsome warrior in his day who after saving his village from a group of fire breathing dragons decided to embark on a new journey - a journey to find the best pizza in the land. After travelling from village to village trying countless pizzas whilst saving the townsfolk from dragon attacks and other dangers of the times, Peter had an epiphany! Why search for the best pizza when he can just create it himself?! After years of trying and tasting different recipes he had finally created the perfect pizza!
He unveiled it to his fellow villagers who were so impressed they started bringing it home to their friends and family. Word spread quickly about Peter’s pizza eventually reaching to the King himself who ordered an extra-large pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and hot peppers and of course an order of wings with Pete’s signature BBQ sauce. The King was so amazed with the pizza that he exiled his current pizza maker and brought Peter to his castle to offer him a job as the head pizza maker of the kingdom which Peter accepted. It was there where Peter had met the Lady Za Za who introduced her mother’s butter tart recipe to Peter and the King’s pizza restaurant was complete! The king was known to enjoy meatball and cheesy chicken melts through the week for his royal lunch aside from his numerous orders of pizza and wings in his evenings after addressing his royal subjects.
Peter, after years of incredible pizza making, had gained so much favor with the townsfolk that once the King had passed away Peter was elected to rule over the land as King Peter Zachary Pillanous (or “Pete Za King” for short).
Over the years Pete’s recipes were passed down through generations which sent his descendants on a journey to find the perfect time and place to give his amazing pizza to the rest of the world, travelling from Sault Ste. Marie, to London, Ontario where Peter’s vision of a place where you could enjoy the greatest pizza in the land could be realized! After centuries of preparation Pete Za Pi is now available for pick up or delivery! Order online or call in your order to enjoy one of Pete Za Pi’s cheesy, saucy slices! Don’t forget to add in some wings with your order with your choice of sauce (we recommend trying our signature BBQ wing sauce at least once) and finish it off with one of mom’s famous butter tarts! And though the pizzas were originally baked in dragon’s fire, you can be assured that your travels to and from Pete Za Pi will remain free of any dragon attacks!... thanks again Pete!
